Local ministries
Newark United Methodist Church has a long history of affecting our localministries as far as administration. We are a merciful gathering, serving others in light of the need we see around us. The following are a few instances of how we're tending to those inside the Newark region (most connections go off site).

At the point when temperatures are determined to plunge
underneath 20°F, the Newark Area Homeless Coalition (a multi-church alliance),
has the destitute for an evening dinner, a spot to rest, and a morning supper.
This service is an outgrowth of the Newark Empowerment Center (see underneath).
NUMC takes part in this service on a pivoting premise as an office have.
English as a Second Language: English Conversation Program
This mission, situated in our office, gives essential
English language examples and discussion practice for the local populace whose
primary language isn't English.
Expectation Dining Room
Giving early afternoon dinners to all who are eager, Hope is
situated in the cellar of the office of Kingswood United Methodist Church, at
the intersection of Marrows Road and Brookside Boulevard, and is a helpful
service among a few churches localministries.
NUMC gives, cooks, and serves two suppers each month (first Friday and third
Tuesday).
Go-Bags
Volunteers from NUMC set up these prepared to eat suppers
for appropriation through Newark Empowerment Center (see underneath).
Newark Area Welfare Committee
This association serves the local area with an Emergency Assistance Program, Food Cupboard, Holiday Food Boxes, and Shoes for Needy Children. More than 2,900 people in the Newark region get help with some structure. NUMC houses one of its Food Cupboards.
